- Claude was launched by Anthropic in July, 2023
- Quick demo focused on video and images
- People are using AI--According to a Salesforce report, in September, 2023 (just 10 months after launch) 45% of the US population was using generative AI, with use inversely correlated with age–Gen Z was at 70%·
- Businesses are using it--A Gartner poll in October 2023 found that 55% of businesses were piloting or using generative AI compared to only 19% just six months earlier
- Forbes reports that 75% of professionals believe that generative AI will cause “significant or disruptive change in the nature of their industry’s competition” in the next three years
