Khanmigo Teacher Mode

As of May, 2024, Khanmigo is free to teachers in the US. It offers a wide and growing range of tools/activities, as indicated in the screenshot taken from Khanmigo at right. Khanmigo is built on the most recent version of ChatGPT, so while free for teachers, there is a fee of $4 per month per student/parent user unless the district adopts it--the rest of Khan Academy's resources are free. Khan Academy says that 65,000 students and teachers were using it as part of formal instruction in Spring, 2024 and it is expected that 500,000 to a million might be using it in Fall, 2024.
Khanmigo's tools are accessed by logging into Khan Academy with a teach account and then clicking on "AI Activities" at upper right on that page. Sal Khan gives a very brief sense of some ways teachers might use Khanmigo to prepare for class in this video, and I will use this page to share other training videos, and discuss and show sample output from these tools, focusing on use of the "Create a lesson plan" tool.
